Meet Talking Galileo, ArkadIA’s latest AI-driven project. The project involves creating a digital twin of the famous scientist Galileo Galilei, designed for science education in schools. Starting next year, the free web platform will allow students and teachers to interact in real time with the virtual scientist, asking questions, hearing original answers, and carrying out his experiments. The core challenge is to train an AI system that thinks and talks like a 17th-century scientist, while remaining engaging and accessible to today’s students. The goal is to bring young people closer to science, and the scientific method through direct interaction.
The project won a grant from the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) under Law 6/2000 for the promotion of scientific culture and will be developed with the support of Trentino AI.
