In Riva del Garda, Didacta was a great success, taking place from October 22 to 24 with a large and enthusiastic audience. ArkadIA was also present, hosted at the INAF – National Institute for Astrophysics stand, together with Explora – The Children’s Museum of Rome. Among the science outreach projects presented was the web app Space Walk, which allows users to explore the Solar System through an augmented reality walk in their own city. By simply using a smartphone, it is possible to see the Sun and planets appear as realistic 3D models at scaled distances, transforming city streets into an immersive journey through space. During Didacta, a pilot project was launched involving several Trentino schools, which will begin using this new educational tool in the classroom.
